About the rotax engines in the atv’s they are good but the only thing to look for when the miles add on is the timing chains.For the rest they are reliable.My 2006 800cc had 46400 kil. when I sold it and now my 2009 800r has 30000 kil. and did the timing chain job at around 23000 kil.But maintenance is the secret .

Are there any problems with the Rotax G1?

Some of the earlier G1 models had problems with timing chains going out on them early, its not an issue anymore at all, they will eventual need replacement no doubt but lots of guys are getting high miles out of the originals.
