OP will just have to re-install all the original mid control parts. OP can go to Ronnies Parts Finder and locate the correct diagrams for his specific model to determine which parts he’ll need.

I {Heart} Hookers. As stated….. the OEM mid controls utilized a shaft that went through the primary used for the shifter arm. I left mine in place when I installed the forward controls, tucked it down behind the primary and used a cap that kuryakyn makes to cover the old shaft.
