The filter on the K100, while accessible requires a special tool to remove it (or finger spun by Arnold Schwartzennegger). The oil filter is housed in a “wet” (oil filled) reservoir, sealed by a plate and O ring assembly that is held on with three hex-head bolts. The bolts and plate are directly under the engine.
