Can you keep Plecos with frogs?
Frogs work well with algae eating fish, and bottom dwellers, except for common plecos. However, if you want to keep things on the safe side, then we don’t recommend keeping them with Plecos, Catfish, Bettas or Cichlids.
What do common Plecos eat?
A well-balanced pleco diet consists of:
- Algae and sinking algae wafers.
- Plecos require plenty of fiber.
- Some plecos require driftwood as part of their diet, supplying them with cellulose and lignin.
- More carnivorous species need higher-protein foods such as bloodworms, shrimp pellets, krill or brine shrimp.
What do leopard frog Plecos eat?

Can frogs and fish live in the same tank?
Make sure you keep your frogs and fish well-fed and the water conditions ideal, and you shouldn’t have any problems. These frogs are peaceful creatures and should be placed in similar communities. As long as the fish are peaceful, and not small enough to fit in the frog’s mouth, they should make good tank companions.
