Are there any problems with the Mercedes E300 hybrid?

The 300h really only exists to reduce CO2 emissions and thus company car tax. You get the gruff 4 cylinder diesel engine with a load of complexity bolted on. In my view an E350 would be a much better option for a private buyer. They are generally reliable.

If the reset doesn’t work, have the car scanned for codes that will help identify any problems. You may or may not be able to use the car in this state, depending on the severity of the problem. Check the fuses if you get a chance as a blown one could cause issues with your hybrid system.

The last time I had a problem the dealer replaced it and did an update on the software on my GLA250 2016. It has work properly now for 4 months. There are times it is not driven for a week but have no problem. There is a very long list of things that pass a check for the ECO to work it is more than just a battery must be charged.
