Are there aftermarket coil packs for Jeep Wrangler?
I am still wondering if this 4 Wheel Parts aftermarket coil packs (link in OP) are actually upgrades to the OEM. As some of you have indicated these types of upgrades (engine mods) are not so popular, but I would like to know if anyone has taken the time to do it and if they realized any benefit at all.
Can you change spark plugs on Jeep Wrangler?
I’m new to the jeep thing but grew up in the drag racing scene. Just treat it as a system. I’ve seen people waste money on high priced spark plugs to never really realize the gains because they were inefficient with the oem system. Spark box to coil to wires to plug. If you change from what the oem has then change the whole system.
What kind of wire do I need for my Jeep Wrangler?
I used NGK Iridium IX plugs and my JKU got the DUI Livewires (included in the kit you’re looking at) while the wife’s JKU got Granatelli wires. I did notice a difference in both Jeeps, but I was replacing crappy old plugs and original, OEM wires.
Can a bad coil pack cause a bad spark plug?
It’ll get worse as they lose their ability to fire the spark plugs. Coil Packs take the place of the distributor and coil in older vehicles. They receive instruction from the engine’s computer on when to fire the spark plugs. The symptoms of bad coil packs are almost the same as bad spark plugs.

What happens when you have bad coil packs on a Jeep Wrangler?
The less cylinders that your engine has, the more that one cylinder not firing properly will have an effect on engine performance. If you have one or more bad Coil Packs, it’ll cause the acceleration of the Wrangler to be weaker, and you’ll probably feel a jerking sensation.
