Why is my C230 Kompressor making a rattling sound?
My wife’s C230 Kompressor (2005) has been making a strange rattling sound when started for about 6 months and she recently took it to our local Mercedes dealership. She took it in for the annual service and, upon arriving, found out their was a recall of the camshaft solenoid.

I found on the wiki a method how to reset check engine light on your MErcedes SLK230, switch the key in ignition on position 2, turn steering wheel full left then full right and back to centre and warning lights will be reset. This works only after you changing the battery.

When was the R170 version of the SLK made?
The R170 version of the SLK was only made from 1998 through 2004, averaging about 10,000 US versions each year. I’ve discovered that only about 10 percent of these have manual transmissions. What are you thinking when you order a 2 seater sports car with an automatic transmission? I find that mystifying.
