Why does my gas tank spit gas back out?
Simply put that build up will cause it to overflow and spit back out. Hyundai fixed the problem by making a bigger neck to the gas tank. Which should have been a recall. Because the way to fix it is replace the neck and tank. It was not considered a purge valve problem because that would apparently only cause issues while the car is running.
