How much does it cost to replace fuel filter on BMW X5?
Visit to the dealership did not help. After 2 days and over $200 (out of my pocket) for diagnostics the dealer recommended replacing fuel filter ($410) and/or fuel pump ($720) which I declined. Planning to purchase filter from Amazon.com for $50 and install it myself and fuel pump (if required) for $335.

What should fuel pressure be in BMW X5?
If the engine starts, expect pressure to be about 0.5 bar lower than engine off pressure. Once you test pressure, recharge the fuel system by cycling the key or running the fuel pump. Note the fuel pressure. Then allow the fuel system to sit under pressure for 15 minutes. Pressure should drop no more than 0.5 (red arrow) bar in that time period.
What causes a car to not start with no gas?
Problem may be at wiring connector on top of fuel tank (hard to reach!). No gas in fuel tank (Check the fuel gauge, and keep in mind the gauge may not be reading accurately). Bad gas (Contaminated with water or too much alcohol or diesel fuel). If you just filled up with gas and now your car won’t start, suspect bad gas.
