The round slide seems pretty stout, but the diaphragm that controls its operation could get a tear in it and cause it not to operate right. There are lots of pinholes in the needle jet that clog up easily. The main jet is a pretty big hole that wouldn’t clog too easily, and mainly just limits the flow at full WOT.
