What makes the radio cut out in a Honda?
Any update on this. Driving 2006 EX with 123K miles and VSA light turns ON and radio cuts out for a couple seconds. Wife says it happen a couple of times now. These seem like classic cases of Hondas with a failing alternator.

I scraped off the accumulated Zinc from the terminals and used a cheap-o AutoZone batter post cleaner to scrape the post and terminal shiny clean. I then coated the terminals with petroleum jelly. Total elapsed time, 4 minutes. The problem hasn’t happened for 2 months. .

More than likely, burnt out bulbs are the culprit. There is a possibility that there is another failure somewhere in the circuit, but it is not as likely as burnt out bulbs. You will need to remove the panel on the dash, and remove the climate control unit, and check the bulbs.
