What is the temp on a Polaris Ranger?
Just picked it up a couple weeks ago. It has a digital temp gauge in the intrument cluster and while running this machine the temp fluctuates from 189 to 209. The fan comes on at 204 and cuts off at 194. I’ve seen the temp go as high as 209 before the fan starts cooling it down after it comes on.
What can I do about my Polaris Ranger overheating?
Now, if we go through water and get the it good and wet underneath, seems to stay cooler longer. Also, when checked the water pump, we removed all of the anti-freeze (Polaris 60/40). Just put straight water in for the time being, it didn’t run any cooler, but it did cool off faster at idle.

Why does my Polaris Ranger keep overheating?
It would get so hot by the time the fan came on with temps in the 210 + range and when the fan kicked on if would drop to about 190. At times if you stopped with it hot the ranger would not start until the temp cooled down. The key on and fan running without the motor does not cool it down.
Is there a way to turn off Polaris Ranger?
The polaris dealer told me the negative to turning it on manually is what is you forget to turn it off because i can make it run with the key turned on honestly this is not an issue because common sense when you turn it off is to hit the toggle switch and manually turn it off. Works great and no more high temps.
Can a Polaris Ranger be ridden in water?
NOW YOU CANNOT HAVE THE FAN ON ALL THE TIME IF YOU ARE RIDING IN WATER THAT WILL TOUCH THE FAN BLADES. I do not have any issue with this because I never put my machine in water that deep. Just thought I would pass this along. Only another negative is that your fan motor will probably wear out sooner/faster and then again it may last forever.
