Upon initial turn over the circuit breaker clicks and everything goes dead, no lights, ignition or anything else electrical. After replacing the circuit breaker everything looks good but when I hit the start button the breaker clicks and I’m back to square one.

What causes a starter to blow a circuit breaker?

Something is shorting to blow the breaker. Since it is only happening when you hit the start button you would have to guess that the starter circuit is going to ground. How many wires does a 1990 FLHS have?

I have a 1990 FLHS, there are 3 wires 1 wire from the battery, 1 that goes to the switch (50) and 1 other wire. I cannot remember how this connects except for the switch wire. Does the battery and the smaller wires go the terminal without the boot? Also once connected it turns over but won’t start. It has been a year since it was started.
