When you shift it to Drive it will go threw the gears till it gets to the overdrive, then it just acts like you shifted into neutral, if I push the button on the gear shift knob to turn the overdrive off it will go into gear then, as soon as you try the overdrive it will not go until it slows down to the lower gears.
