What is Ncepod surgery?
NCEPOD is an organisation in which currently practising clinicians review the management of patients undergoing medical and surgical care by undertaking confidential surveys and reviewing care provision and resources in the units carrying out the care.

The SORT is a surgical preoperative risk prediction tool. It provides a percentage estimate of death within 30 days of inpatient surgery for adults (exclusions in the first version of SORT obstetrics, neurosurgery, cardiac and transplant surgery).
