What causes total loss of horsepower while trying to accelerate?
V10 total loss of horsepower while trying to accelerate… Has any V10 owner experienced a total loss of horsepower while trying to accelerate from highway speeds? Like trying to pass a slower moving car on a two lane highway. It’s almost as if the engine in starved for fuel or Oxygen or something…
Why do the RPMs go up when I accelerate?
Also when I accelerate sometimes the rpms wont go up, they will actually slowly drift down, then when I release the accelerator pedal, they jump up quick then fall back down. I have already changed the ignition coils. The spark plugs have maybe 10000 miles on them, theyre ac delco iridium plugs, it has taylor spiro cables on it.
Why do I lose power at 1500 rpm?
This gives lack of power around 2000 rpm upwards, took 40 hours to find that one and 10 hours to fit parts. Lastly some v10’s have problems with a gear in the back of the engine which wears out giving low oil pressure to hydrualic lifters. If this problem is present the car seems to missfire at 1500 rpm and there is a rattling noise from engine.
When do I accelerate, my car hesitates?
When I accelerate, my car hesitates, the rpms bounce, and… My car is hesitating upon acceleration, no matter how fast im going if I give it too much accelerator it bogs down.

Why does my Corrolla lose power during acceleration?
Immediately the check engine light came on. That is when the O2 sensor had to be replaced (by another mechanic). After that is when the problem with loss of power started. The fuel filter I’m told is designed to not need regular replacement. It is part of the the fuel pump inside the tank. The air filter is fine. The check engine light is not on.
What causes a car to lose its power when accelerating?
Here are seven of the most common causes for a vehicle to lose its power when accelerating. The internal combustion engine of your vehicle relies on the spark plugs for transmitting the electrical signal from the ignition coils to the internal combustion chamber. Once that happens, an electric spark ignites the mixture of fuel and air.
