Is there guideline for fuel line to CARB?
(I am working on a 383 with a 750HP Holley that makes about 425HP based on a 12.8 ET time on slippery street tires. Goal is ET of 11.5) Is there a guideline (based on HP or carb size) for what size AN hose to run to the fuel pump and then to the carb?
Which is better AN6 or an8 for fuel line to CARB?
Goal is ET of 11.5) Is there a guideline (based on HP or carb size) for what size AN hose to run to the fuel pump and then to the carb? I know that AN6 matches up to 3/8″ line, but the fittings are much smaller than 3/8″ and therefore it seems some people recommend AN8.
Why does the carburetor send fuel back to the fuel tank?
2) The carburetor sees much more constant fuel levels because at engine idle, the carb doesn’t need as much fuel as wide open throttle so the three way regulator (one input line, one line to the carburetor, and one back to the fuel tank) sends it back to the fuel tank.
How do you Prime a jet ski carburetor?
To prime a jet ski, you have to remove the return fuel line from your carb. Then, blow air into this hose to generate pressure in the tank. Finally, this pressure will force the fuel into the fuel lines and the carburetor. You have to wait until the fuel starts to run out of the carb.
