Is the Honda VFR800 a good tourer?
Compared to the 750, the 800 is let down by its VVTI (Or VTEC?) engine, which only really delivers at high revs. Not what you really want on what is supposed to be a tourer. Will you like it?
Do you have to replace studs on Honda VFR800?
It comes to all VFR800s sooner or later. If you buy a VFR without a stainless replacement chances are you’ll be fitting one. It would be a good idea to replace the studs/nuts while you have the bike apart as they are not expensive, but the studs are only 6mm thick and snap oh so easily.

Rectifier issue (Honda’s Achillies heel) can cause the Honda VFR800i to stop, potentially with a boiling battery. Non-Honda units are cheap and solve the problem before it occurs – later Honda units also work well on the Honda VFR800i. As it’s the pick of the Honda VFR750/800s used values are high.

Been lucky enough to have one to ride over the summer (friend going abroad to work needs it “airing”) I rode a VFR 750 many years ago and loved it – will I love this bike ? I’ve not ridden one, but know a couple of folk with them – both have owned them for donkeys years and very happy with them.
Is the Honda VFR 800 a sport tourer?
Massive VFR fan still got a 88 model and 94 model both 750 tried a few more manufacture’s in the sport tourer category still come back to the Honda bought a 2015 model 800 can’t not fault it the perfect all round motorcycle build quality is top notch.

How much is a Honda VFR800 W plate?
Fella up the road has a W plate (2000) for £2500 ONO on his drive with 19,000 miles on the clock …30,000Km No service history and it’s an import ……clocks in KPH. Needs exhaust replacing soon as original headers are heavily corroded. Bit of a pig to do and about £350 for a decent stainless system.
Which is the best model of Honda VFR?
I bought the 1998 model as reading the write ups / reviews on the net, this is the one model VFR that most seemed to like the best. It appears to be the second hand model is the most sought after and seems to hold its price well. It is also the model that apparantely Honda based their latest model on.
