Is the Ducati ST2 a good car to ride?
The one I’ve always wanted to do. It is well known that design (and specifically art) is subjective. Classic design, however usually works well and looks good too, so there’s little to argue with there. I’ve ridden Ducati’s for 20 years.

Aside from the usual wear items every bike has, the charging system can be an issue. The connector between the regulator and stator can become corroded which will cause it to heat up and not charge. For future finders of this thread, outside of a couple of well-known issues like the wire harness (which a large number of people have already fixed/changed) the ST2 is pretty darned hard to kill. Few of the 2-valves went racing, so there’s less risk of a beater than the 4-valvers.
Not quite, the ST2 is water cooled. A well maintained two valve Ducati is very reliable. Compared to a GS, it will feel a lot lighter and more nimble.
