Technically, SUNY New Paltz is not a dry campus. As part of the campus regulations listed on newpaltz.edu, this is clearly outlined. If this is our campus’ policy, it seems farfetched to outlaw any interaction with establishments that serve alcohol. To enter a bar and drink alcohol, you need to be over 21 years old.
Do you have to live on campus at SUNY New Paltz?
Per SUNY New Paltz policy, all students in our program are expected to live on-campus for the first year. The only exceptions are if: You are a transfer student. You will be 21 years old or older before the first day of classes.
