What is the difference between a CSCS Card and the CCNSG Safety Passport? The CCNSG Safety Passport is a two-day training course. In contrast, the CSCS health and safety test is for construction sites and issued by the CITB.

The Site Safety Passport is a training scheme accredited by the Client Contractor National Safety Group. The scheme was created back in the 1990’s when industries recognised the need for standardised health and safety training.

In response, the ECITB has worked with its training provider partners to introduce an online version of the CCNSG 2-day National Course. This specially adapted programme allows remote learning and assessment through a self-study programme, with pre-recorded teaching materials or live online delivery of the course.
Can I do a safety passport online?
The EMSS approved National Safety Passport training course can be taken online or offline (via the flash-drive edition) and most candidates can reach the qualifying level of EMSS Safety Passport holder in 3-4 hours. On completion of the training, your registration will be verified.
Is Emss the same as Ccnsg?
The National Safety Passport training – accredited by EMSS Safety Passport Ltd is an online training course, whereas the CCNSG is a two day course (or 1 day refresher course) at one of their local centres. We always advise that candidates check that our card is accepted prior to purchasing the training.
