How often should you adjust the valve on a Honda VFR?
Most of the 6th gen grizzled VFR ancients actually suggest doing it once (around 40-50k) and then being done with it for the rest of the bikes life (or not even doing it at all). Per multiple discussions on the topic, there hasn’t be a documented engine failure due to skipping valve adjustments on those forums.

What’s the difference between VTEC and non VTEC valves?
Really, the only difference between it and non-VTEC is that you must lock the VTEC valves so that you can properly inspect the clearances and adjust. You can buy a tool for this, or make something easily to lock the valves. At any rate someone made a video on this and it’s pretty decent.

How do you adjust the valve on a bluepoof bike?
To adjust the valves, the first thing you do is loosen up the locknut thatholds the adjustment screw in place. This is a 10mm bolt; you don’t needto remove it, just break the torque seal and loosen it a little bit. Next, use a flathead sscrewdriver to loosen the adjustment screws.
