Period. Narrator aside, planet earth is just simply a documentary that I cannot take my eyes off of. The cinematography is (in my opinion) completely unrivaled by any other nature series / shows I’ve seen. It puts to shame most of the work by Nat Geo, and animal planet, discovery channel, etc.

The audio is poor. On the other hand, the 4K discs of Planet Earth II are absolutely beautiful. They are breathtaking and stunning. But there are only six programs. Many topics covered in the series in Blu-ray are not covered in this series in 4K. When I say that the Blu-ray discs from the BBC are horrible, I don’t mean horrible compared to 4K.
