Trail goes around the Loch and is 21km (13 miles) in length. The Loch Leven Heritage Trail is a largely traffic-free path (exception of less than 100 metres, see below for details) around Loch Leven linking Kinross with RSPB Loch Leven and back to Kinross.

There are several opportunities for cafe stops along the way. Loch Leven is a highly-designated and internationally-important nature reserve; dogs are asked to be kept on leads or under close control at all times to prevent bird disturbance.
Where do you cross the Ury burn in Loch Leven?
Cross the road and walk down Burnbank Meadows beside the health centre to reach a bridge over the Ury Burn. Turn left onto the path on the other side of the burn and follow it through the woods and alongside the golf course. After about 1.3km the path joins the main Loch Leven trail at Mary’s Gate.
