How do you reset the check engine light on a Polaris RZR 1000?
To reset the ECU, you have to disconnect the battery completely. Then touch your RZR’s wire harness terminals together. This will drain the capacitors and anything else in your ECU that holds a charge, and is a guaranteed method of resetting your Polaris RZR’s check engine light.

Quad in neutral, turn the key on and off 3 times quick, let it stay in the on position on the 3rd time and it should flash the engine light to give you the code. 5 flashes =5, ect. all codes are 2 digit numbers.
Is there a fix for my Polaris EFI?
On 2005 EFI machines it is definitely not fixed. Polaris has a parts kit out, PN 2875542. The kit consists of a new connector, wiring, heat shield/cover, etc. The stock connector rubs against the top of the throttle body.
Why do I get check engine warnings on my Polaris?
I got somes errors last weekend, along with the ‘check engine’ warning, got them again yesterday on our ride and had to call it early again. The errors I got were 41 and 46, but I believe you can also get 45. These errors are for the barometric pressure/air temperature sensor that is mounted on the rubber intake hose, just up from the airbox.

When does the Check Engine light come on?
6+1 is code 61. which is just a factory “end” code. its not a code related to the service engine light. The check engine light comes on just when i turn the key on before cranking it, maybe thats normal, sorry to seem stupid but i just brought it not long ago. once started the lights gone ??
