Do smart thermostats work with radiators?
Type: There are two types of smart thermostat on the market: those that control your heating as one zone, so all radiators are either on or off, or multi-zone smart heating thermostats that allow you to choose which radiators to have on and which ones to turn off.
How do WIFI radiator thermostats work?
The Smart Radiator Valves use two integrated temperature sensors to gauge the temperature of a room. They compare the temperature measured in the room against the setpoint temperature to control the flow of hot water to the radiator in order to reach the desired temperature in the room.
Are smart thermostatic valves worth it?
In general, yes. A smart radiator valve can save you money because it allows you to control your house’s temperature room-by-room. If you don’t have TRVs (which most houses don’t), you might find that certain rooms get too hot – quite literally burning away money.
Is it worth fitting thermostatic radiator valves?
Yes! Thermostatic valves are the best way of getting the heating in your home just right! Used in combination with a room thermostat, they adjust your heating perfectly, and you won’t end up with some rooms being overheated.
Are Tado and Hive compatible?
The Hive app is similarly feature-rich, offering full control over your heating and other utilities in much the same way as the Tado equivalent. Hive is also compatible with other smart devices across your home, such as Amazon Alexa, Google Assistant and Philips Hue.

Will thermostatic radiator valves fit all radiators?
If your boiler is fitted with a flow meter – that detects when all of your radiator valves are closed, you can install a TRV on every radiator if you want to. You can leave any radiator without a TRV, but it makes more sense for you to select the radiator in the room with your wall thermostat.
What radiator valves are compatible with Tado?
tado° is only compatible with thermostatic radiator valves. Smart Radiator Thermostats replace your existing thermostatic radiator valve (TRV) heads. The Smart Radiator Thermostats fit almost any valve body, either directly or by using an adapter.
What is a smart radiator valve?
Smart thermostatic radiator valves (Smart TRVs) are devices that were designed to provide an individual, room-by-room heating control, by working in conjunction with your thermostat kit and creating a so called zoned heating system, which can be easily managed through an app for smartphones, tablets or computers.
What is a RAD valve?
The Rad Valve is the ONLY air intake system available with aerodynamic internal surfacing. Integrated into the Rad Valve’s seamless interior chamber are 4-way aerodynamic directional dividers that distribute the angled charge evenly without flow loss.
What is a thermostat control valve?
The purpose of a Thermostatic Control Valve (TCV) is to regulate the temperature of water before it reaches your sink or bathtub faucet. A TCV ensures constant temperature of water by blending hot water with cold water to prevent scalding or thermal shock.
