Can a Yamaha Grizzly 660 go into Park?
A few weeks ago I bought a 2006 Yamaha Grizzly 660. Last week I couldn’t get the shifter to go into Park so j left it in Neutral and turned off the engine. Yesterday I tried to start it but I wouldn’t even turn over.
Why does my Grizzly not shift out of Park?
Won’t shift out of park. Removed shifter knob and boot. Shifter cavity filled with water. Drain plug not removed from drain tube under the housing for shifter. Pin was rusted in “lock position” and no matter how much you applied brake it was frozen. Removed entire cable, unscrews out of shift housing. Once off tapped pin into cable.

Why does my shifter not shift into Park?
When I turn the key back on, it’s always in Park, though, so I don’t have that problem Grizwaldo. At least, not yet anyway. LOL. I just wish they hadn’t done away with the parking brake like the 600 Grizzly had. Why couldn’t we have Park and a parking brake too? That way we could have used Park only if we wanted to.

Why is my Yamaha Grizzly hard to get out of?
It was stuck in park when I had the hard time getting it out. Is the lock out cable different from the shift rod and where would I find it.
