Why is my Jaguar XJ engine not starting?
Broken lead to left bank engine cam position sensor. New sensor was installed and local sensor connector was bypassed by soldering. No start due to water/ice in cylinders. This is a rare but not unheard of problem with these supercharger cars on very cold nights (0F).

Problem was traced to damaged fuel injectors (6 out of 8 cylinders). Injectors were ultrasonically cleaned, but remained pitted. Traded for a 2012 XJ. Radiator spider inlet outlet replaced. Engine misfire. Replaced all ignition coils and installed NGK spark plugs. Throttle Body sensor was replaced Thermostat and water pump replaced.
