Why does my Volvo blower fan keep coming on?
Codes tell you why they came on, but not how to fix it. A lot of parts have been sold to “fix” a CEL because the code indicated something like current low to MAF, so they replace the MAF which may be fine, but that wire may be loose. Thanks.
Why does the engine fan run when the car is shut off?
The engine fan does run to cool the engine off after I have turned off the car – this is typical on a hot day. I have never heard the inside cabin blower go on. I discovered it each day these past 2 days after I had been home for over an hour.

The transistorized fan speed controller can fail and run blower until battery is dead. IT is pretty rare and usually has some symptoms that precede the battery kill. The symptoms being that fan is squealing and/or has diminished output for no reason (like stopped up cabin air filter).

That CEL needs to be addressed, it may be serious and ignoring it may result in damage and you will never know if there is a new CEL. You have have most of them checked at an auto parts store. A damaged thermostat may also be the issue. If you notice your air conditioning and the blower fan all of a sudden start running, then the problem is more than likely the thermostat. This is fairly inexpensive to fix and installing a new one isn’t that difficult either. A short circuit or a damaged relay will definitely cause you to have problems.

The climate system awakening and doing temp measurements allows it to have a had start on it mode and fan speed. If it is very quiet and you enter car close doors and listen you can hear the fan usually. OH #2: The engine cooling fan has conditions where it stays on when you turn off the ignition.
