Why does my Honda 450ES not shift into reverse?
It is an 01 450es with less than 250 hours on it. I store it outside under a carport. It had been fairly cold that day and the day before (single digits). From my research the brake cable or the reverse geare freezing up is the main culprit more times than not.

What happens when you bypass manual shift on Honda es?
Everything on the dash will work as before showing correct speed and gear position* 4wd, and all temp, oil, neutral, and reverse lights but the gear position indicator will flash warning the operator it is in bypass manual electric shift mode.
