Why do I get a delay when I Turn on the light?
I notice no blinking, no other problems, just the delay. This is one of those problems that you just have to work out systematically, don’t be swayed by logic. If there is only one bulb change it. Check the wiring at the light and switch – see that the connections are tight. Change the switch.

Why does the ceiling fan delay the light?
Doesn’t matter which switch is used or whether the pull cord on the fan is used – the delay still exists. Installed new ceiling fan and new switches and it still does the same thing. Maybe it’s nothing bad, but it’s kind of annoying and a little disconcerting.
Why does my light switch keep breaking down?
The light switch is getting worn out and needs replacing. The internal contacts can break down over time due to arcing. The arcing can eventually cause the contacts to fail completely, and the arcing can produce a residue which can affect the initial flow of electricity between the switch contacts.

However, you may have purchased an LED lamp with a power-on delay. Even if this seems to last for half an eternity, in practice it will probably only be a few 100 milliseconds long. The maximum time will be 1 to 2 seconds. There are LED lights out there with power-up times of 1 to 2 seconds
Why is there a delay when the light is turned on?
When the light is turned on, there is an approximate 1 second delay before the light actually lights. Doesn’t matter which switch is used or whether the pull cord on the fan is used – the delay still exists. Installed new ceiling fan and new switches and it still does the same thing.
Why does my car make a thumping noise when I stop?
