Where is the alarm located on a Honda Civic?

Click to expand… Hi Neil1971, the loud beep means that the alarm thinks that something is open (i.e. Boot, Bonet or doors). Please follow my advise posted above (step2) “Re: Honda Civic ALARM PROBLEM PLEASE HELP”. Follow the step to first identify which lock is causing the issue.

My honda civic type r alarm keeps going off, I’ve tried all doors, boot, bonnet, windows, but once you lock it after 30seconds it goes off. Google gives 100 reasons. Any experience??? I don’t have a spanner handy to even disconnect the battery.

Why does my Anothet Type R alarm keep going off?
Yup the same stock alarm! taking it for a run and see if anything changes. Anothet type r owner had the same issue and after a bit after driving it went back to normal Funny mine kept going off the other night aswell, time after time it kept going off! Eventually it stayed off after the 5/6th time! I just put it down to the wind being so bad.

The circuit is open when the switch is closed (ie completing the circuit) which is only when the bonnet is up so disconnecting the plug means that you can never close the circuit thus triggering the alarm Just had a call from my Honda dealer offering me a whopping £100 discount so the siren is only £422 plus vat now!!
