All the way up until about the 4th setting for the blower, regardless of setting (feet, windshield, etc) I can hear the noise of the fan. The sound of the fan can be heard at the same level that the blower is at, more defined at the lowest level. It comes from behind the glove compartment and almost sounds like a bad/old computer fan.

Why does my Honda Civic make a buzzing noise when I turn the wheel?

It’s not worth making a big deal out of it, because they’re partially right (my steering wheel column never ‘clicked’ while turning the wheel with the blinker on, but now it does it. It also makes a weird sound when turning the wheel – like a bit of metal wire clacking against itself.
Is it worth making a fuss over a VW fan?
You’re right though, not worth making a big fuss since there is nothing for the dealer to fix; the replacement part is just as faulty. The fan/blower on my 2015 Si is louder than I would like as well, definately not as quiet an experience compared to my previous VW.
