Hi, i hope you got my last message about your megane mate. all you need is a new alternator and belt and the idol will return to normal as the alternator is faulty, it will be spiking giving to much out put. this is defo the problem.

The switch and the wires on our one had been broken and a poor repair had been made we thought over a period of time this may have effected it as the switch does send a signal to ecu.
