When I drive my car I hear water flowing?
D.M. Answer: Sloshing is almost always caused by air in the cooling system, which allows the coolant to drain out of the heater core inside the dashboard when the engine is off. When you start the car, the water pump sends a surge of coolant into the heater core and you hear the sloshing.
Why do I hear liquid sloshing in my car?
Whenever I start my car and put it in gear, I hear the sound of liquid sloshing around as if there were a tub of water just behind the stereo. I can hear it for the first minute of driving (when I accelerate or decelorate) and then it goes away. The sound returns after the car’s been sitting for a while. What’s going on?
Why does my car make a sloshing sound when I Turn on the AC?
If you are really hearing a sloshing sound, then it is very likely water trapped in the AC evaporator drain pan. This would be because your AC drain tube is clogged. Find it and check it. You may check under the hood as I had a trough that the wiper mechanics resided in. The drain holes were blocked.
Why does my Chevy HHR make a sloshing sound?
One might think a sloshing sound in the vent area would be there all the time if they were plugged. Wind noise, engine noise, etc. can mask the sloshing noise. Not many questions here can be answered without a vehicle ID. Thanks for this. I’ll check the coolant levels. Also, forgot to mention it’s a 2007 Chevy HHR 2.4 LT.
Where did the sloshing noise come from on my Honda Fit?
I took my 2007 Honda Fit Sport for the 30,000 mile service on 12/1/07 at Hollar Honda in Orlando, Florida. After waiting about 3 hours and paying $300 I left the dealer. As soon as I left I heard a sloshing noise. It was like fluid going back and forward. I found it kind of odd that it never did it before the 30,000 mile service.

Why does my car make a running water sound?
I’ve recently noticed that when this “running water” sound occurs that it is more prominent when the engine is running faster (e.g. during acceleration).
