What kind of spark plug should I use on my Jeep Liberty?
Anyone out there have a better plug I should use. Use either NGK or autolights. I used Autolight Double Platinum myself. Just wondering why not use same plugs that it was built with? I know they don’t last long, but you would think you would at least have no problems with them since Jeep spec’d the Liberty with them.

The cheapest plugs are copper core and that’s what the factory installs to save a few bucks per vehicle. Cheapest doesn’t usually equal best. But until the OP tells us what model year Jeep and which engine he’s running, it’s impossible to give him an accurate valid spark plug recommendation.

It doesn’t appear they are the same based on the list price. Click to expand… I’m using ZFR6FIX-11 part number 6441 i bought them at Pep Boys for $7.99 each. The part number is correct. 6441 for the spark plug ZFR6FIX-11 so i dont know why they have a different list price.

Can you put a metal plate between spark plugs?
DO NOT PUT ANYTHING IN BETWEEN THE IRIDIUM CONTACT AND THE METAL PLATE AS IT WILL CRUSH THE IRIDIUM CONTACT. THESE ARE MUCH MORE DELICATE THAN PREVIOUS TYPES OF SPARK PLUGS.
