Is the Jeep Wrangler 2.4 L four cylinder reliable?
Have my eye on a 2005 with the 2.5 L four cylinder. Has 122,000 miles on the clock. I read some threads testifying to the reliability of both the 4.0 and 2.5 L engines, but did not find anything on the 2.4 L. I know it is highly dependent on proper maintenance, but what is the reputation for reliability of the 2.4?

Is the Jeep Wrangler 2.4 L a good engine?
There is a lot of general 4.0L information that applies to the 2.5L while a lot less of that general info applies to the 2.4L block. You will need to do more research to service and maintain your 2.4L. It is a very high performance engine, but has its share of problems, and unfortunately for us it is not very commonly available.
