About OVW Grant Programs. These grant programs are designed to develop the nation’s capacity to reduce domestic violence, dating violence, sexual assault, and stalking by strengthening services to victims and holding offenders accountable.
Who is the director of OVW?
Allison Randall joined OVW as the Principal Deputy Director in June 2021, and currently serves as OVW’s Acting Director. Allison returns to DOJ after two years as the Vice President for Policy and Emerging Issues at the National Network to End Domestic Violence.

VAWA protects victims of domestic violence, da- ting violence, sexual assault, and stalking. It also covers the victim’s immediate family members and other household members (even if they are not related to the victim by blood or marriage).
