This is a very common problem unfortunately. I have an 06 Jetta and it does the same thing. AFAIK, there is currently no fix for it. There was a TSB for this problem on the Touareg, but my dealer refused to run the procedure on the Jetta. (Stupid, I know). I just live with it.
