Is Glasener Beach Open?
The McLean County Department of Parks & Recreation has decided to close its public swimming beach, F.R. Glasener Beach, at COMLARA Park for the summer of 2020 due to public health concerns with COVID-19/Coronavirus. A safe and fun recreational experience is always the Parks Department’s goal for the Park’s visitors.
Are dogs allowed at Comlara Park?
No dog or cat will be permitted to run at large in any County park or recreational area. The area known as “Comlara Park” and any other County park or recreational area will be open from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. prevailing time.
Is Lake Evergreen open?
Operating hours are currently 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. Please remember if you put something on Evergreen Lake and it floats, you must have a Lake Registration Decal. This includes all boats, canoes, kayaks, sailboats, sailboards, paddleboards, etc. Fees remain the same for 2021.

No swimming in the lake, including all pets. Leash laws extend to animals on all vessels/water craft, as well. Inflatable crafts must be 3 chambers or more to be on the lake. Drones are not allowed on Evergreen Park & Recreation District property.
