I’ve repaired the CCM/Multifunction module on my 1996 SLK and two others (1998 cars) as well. The permanent fix was to change the defective relay. I managed to source a replacement relay but had to buy a minimum order quantity so I do have some spare relays for sale.

Why are the turn signals not blinking on my slk230-97?
It is a feat of plastic mechanical engineering and contains a folded flexible circuit board that would win any origami prize! I have the same problem with my SLK230 -97, the turn signals stays on instead of blinking. since they stay on it cant be a dry (i.e. bad) solder joint.
