Can a BMW boxer engine run without a cat?
Yes and it probably won’t run as well after removing the CAT. Unless you spend more money on adding extra fuel, your engine will likely run hotter without the CAT. Aftermarket no cat exhaust on the BMW boxer has always been a waste of money for nothing more than added noise.
