The Fongo service is interesting because, unlike most Wi-Fi calling apps, you can use this one only if you’re based in Canada. Also, although you can get an unlimited number of texts and calls to your Fongo number, you can call and text for free only if you message another Canadian number or another Fongo user.

Can you send a picture with a Fongo number?
With Cellular SMS you can only send picture messages but not receive them. If you try to text a number that is not a Fongo number and you do not have an SMS add on you will be prompted to purchase an SMS add on.
