Can you put a temperature sensor in a radiator hose?
This adapter allows you to put a temperature sensor with 3/8 NPT threads in your radiator hose. This could be useful if you are looking to add an auxiliary water temperature gauge or fan control kit but do not have a port in the intake manifold or water pump to mount the sensor.
What should the temp of the coolant sensor be?
Check that the temperature value of the CTS is around 80-90c when the engine is hot. A lot of engine coolant temperature sensors have two wires and the sensor is controlled by Ohm. Get a wiring diagram and find out what ohms you should have at a specific temperature to check the function.
Where is the temperature sensor on a Mercedes Benz?
You can now get access to the temperature sensor behind the idler pulley. Squeeze the electrical connector and remove it from the sensor. Use a flathead screw driver and slide the clip that holds the sensor in place up towards the air pump, you will not be able to pull the clip all the way straight up and out with out removing the air pump.
