How do you release the Homelink on a garage door opener?
Release the HomeLink button. Press and release the HomeLink button. If the garage door opener opens or closes, programming is complete. If the garage door opener does not open or close, press and release the garage door opener learn button, then press and hold the HomeLink button. Release the HomeLink button then press it again.
How can I test the Homelink button?
Test the HomeLink buttons by pressing each button individually. None of the HomeLink buttons should be operating the garage door. When each button is pressed individually the LED on the HomeLink should flash slowly, indicating the channel is empty.
When do I release the Homelink button on my Mercedes?
Release both buttons when the indicator light changes from a solid light to a rapid flash (this will take approximately 20 seconds) or the display reads “Channels Cleared”. Note: If the vehicle is a newer Mercedes, push and hold the two outer HomeLink buttons (1 & 3).

How do I Turn on Homelink on my garage door opener?
Locate the learn code button on your garage door opener. Press the learn code button on the garage door opener, a red LED will start to blink. While the LED on the garage door opener is blinking, return to the vehicle and press the pre-programmed HomeLink® button 4 times. (Or until the garage door operates).
How do you turn on the Homelink transmitter?
Press and hold the two outside buttons on the Homelink® system until the LED starts to blink, release buttons. Press and hold the desired Homelink® button and the transmit button on your rolling code transmitter at the same time until the Homelink® LED changes from a slow blink to a rapid blink.
Do you need to turn on ignition to program Homelink?
Note: Some vehicles may require the ignition be turned on or the vehicle actually running to program the HomeLink ® transceiver. To program a rolling code compatible HomeLink ® system, please follow these steps.
