Where is the crankshaft sensor on a Hyundai Excel?
The flywheel is at the back of the engine, (at the trans) and the crankshaft position sensor is toward the bottom. The sohc and dohc have them in the same place.

Where is the IIRC located on a Hyundai Excel?
IIRC it is located at the front of the engine. next to the exhaust heat shield is a small connector, follow it down to the cylinder block and that is your crankshaft angle sensor. Again I could be wrong, it’s been a while since I’ve seen under the bonnet of an excel.
Why is my Hyundai Excel engine not restarting?
My mums hyundai excel engine suddenly stops for no apparent reason and unable to restart. somehow after a few minutes you can start it up again. due to the car being very cheap, I’m going to give a shot to fixing it myself. i’ve been told it could be the coil, or ignition leads, and to check with a scantool.
