Should you let your rpms drop before driving?
No. The engine warms up faster if you drive it. Just don’t drive it hard within the first 5 to 10 minutes until the engine warms up. I don’t think it’s about warming the engine, so much as sparing the transmission from the hard shift of going from park to reverse at high rpm.
