I always pull the joint off the rear of the motor, rather than try to pull the shaft out of the joint. Take a flat blade screwdriver and pry it off the output shaft coming out of the motor. I got it thanks.

Pulling my engine (see other thread) – down to the step of removing the rear driveshaft & it should pop right out. I’m following what’s described in the attached picture; however, only thing that’s came loose so far is the wrong end!

The shaft will move in and out of the diff about 1/4 on an inch but that’s it. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Welcome to the forum. It depends on the year of yours if you have a boot on it or not but either way it is basically the same. If boot pull it loose from the coupler and the shaft will slide out.
