Is the dpsf and Dual Pump II fluid the same?
They are both dual pump fluids and prolly 98% the same, but as stated already the Acura dpsf is an upgraded fluid due to the more aggressive response/nature of SH AWD systems in the acuras. In 2019 MDX owner manual, it is claimed to use DPSF-II. I am not sure whether this is Dual Pump II. Most likely it should be.

Yes, DPSF-II. The 4L cans of it are labeled as DPSF-II Ultra: HONDA ULTRA DPSF-II, 4L [08291-99914] : JAYTEC, Total technical support for those who values quality… Apparently, there is no aftermarket equivalent. I would guess it is manufactured by Idemitsu.
Do you have to use dual pump fluid on Honda Ridgeline?
No, you must use the Honda Dual Pump Fluid. This is it from Amazon, but I think you can find it cheaper online though Honda dealers like Bernardi. There is also a short procedure to make certain it is full. It’s called “burping”. You will probably need at least two quarts.

What kind of differential fluid does a Honda use?
I ordered two quart bottles of “Genuine” Honda Dual Pump II DIfferential Fluid and received two quarts of AC Delco Manual Transmission and Transfer Case Fluid with a sticker claiming that its Honda. Even if it is, I don’t want to chance my warranty on a sticker affixed to a bottle of AC Delco tranny fluid. Genuine should be genuine. Perfect!
