When does the AC run in defrost mode?
It states that when you’re in defog or defrost mode, the AC compressor will run automatically. When I set the mode selector knob to one of those positions, I seem to hear the compressor kick on — but isn’t the indicator light near the AC button supposed to light up?

How to get the AC mode selector out of defrost?
You will need to take a few trim panels off to get to the mode actuator. Remove upper dash panel above shelf (the one with the passenger side vent) – Pops out. Start on right hand side. Remove the five screws in the shelf area (three on top. two on bottom) and remove shelf. Remove kick panel under the glove box. Pops out.
What should I do if my rear defroster is blowing?
If there is no power to the switch, then check the fuses and see if any of them are blown. The rear defroster has a blend door that opens and closes that is electronically. If the fuse is blown, either the switch has failed or the blend door motor has failed.
